This is a super casual and relaxed group trip over the New Year period. You'll have the opportunity to dive as much or as little as you want! A big advantage of joining this trip is you will have ready-made dive friends to dive with or to relax with - with a group of 24 women you'll likely find your tribe right away! A great excuse to avoid all that New Year party plans/pressure and relax, dive and enjoy new friendships in hidden getaway!

Tucked away on the island of Roatan, Anthony's Key Resort is a legendary tropical wonderland where lush greenery rustles in the breezy sea air. Pristine beaches rim turquoise waters. Anthony’s Key Resort is a PADI 5-Star Career Development Center and has ranked as one of the world’s top dive resorts for over 50 years! From beginner diving courses to PADI Continuing Education Programs, they have a course and dives to match any skill level, so your only requirement to make the most of this trip is to be Open Water certified.

Roatan is a warm water destination and you can expect minimal currents based on shore dive sites. This trip is in their rainy season so you can expect some rain aswell as shine. Surface temperatures this time of year average in the high 70s/low 80s Fahrenheit (around 26-28°C) while winter water temperatures average around 25° C/78° F.

As it is NYE the resort will be putting on an NYE party for everyone there (there will be other guests in the resort other than our group) so there will be partying/alcohol served. However, it is not obligatory to join and you are free to celebrate/not celebrate as you wish

You will be staying in a resort in a bungalow with one other female roommate.

Dive Boat Departure Times and Itineraries

Daily Boat Dives

• 8:30 am – Depart for first single-tank dive
• 10:30 am – Depart for second single-tank dive
• 2:30 pm – Depart for third single-tank dive

All boats return to the dock for a 45-minute surface interval, allowing you to miss an early or late morning dive.

Night Boat Dives

At night, the reef transforms as nocturnal animals become more visible.  Divers may see octopuses, basket stars, spiny lobsters, and more. AKR’s dive boats leave just before sunset for night dives twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
