Join Girls that Scuba as we return to Egypt for our 5th year diving one of our favourite Red Sea routes for sharks, dolphins, and unforgettable underwater encounters: Brothers – Daedalus – Sataya, all in the stunning June sunshine.
A liveaboard trip in Egypt is the ultimate bucket list adventure, think warm crystal-clear waters, pelagic encounters, vibrant coral reefs, and the Egyptian sunshine warming you up between dives. There’s truly nothing like it! Add in an all-female group and the chance to swim with dolphins, and you know this is going to be a trip to remember.
And once again, we’re bringing you a luxury liveaboard experience, without the luxury price tag!
We’re heading back for our 5th Egypt liveaboard, and our 3rd time aboard this incredible boat. After countless Red Sea trips between the Girls that Scuba team, we can confidently say this is one of the very best liveaboards in Egypt.
Calling Soul our floating home once again, this beautiful boat is full of heart, character, and thoughtful attention to detail. Combining the relaxed charm and exclusivity of a boutique beach hotel with all the benefits of a modern liveaboard, Soul delivers a truly luxury experience on the Red Sea.
Launched at the end of 2021, Soul welcomed her first guests in 2022 and has quickly become one of the most sought-after liveaboards in the region. She features 15 stylish cabins, each equipped with a private bathroom, shower and toilet, individually controlled air conditioning, and a refrigerator. Guests will also enjoy thoughtful extras including bathrobes and eco-friendly toiletries such as biodegradable shower gel, shampoo, and sunscreen.
Soul offers plenty of spaces to relax between dives, from the hot tub and alfresco dining area with panoramic sea views to the beautifully designed interiors filled with unique touches that make this feel like a true luxury escape at sea.
A minimum of 50 logged dives and an Open Water certification (or equivalent) is required to join this trip. While many of the dives are relaxed and suitable for newer certified divers, some dive sites may include mild to moderate currents, deeper profiles, and varying conditions. Divers should feel comfortable diving in a group, confident in their core dive skills, and prepared for changing conditions throughout the trip.
In June, water temperatures around Marsa Alam typically range from 26–28°C (79–82°F), making it perfect for long dives and comfortable conditions both in and out of the water. Most divers are comfortable in a 3mm wetsuit or even just skins
We'll be diving sites like Ras Torombi, Shaab Shuna, Abu Dabab, Elphinstone, Shaab Claudio, Shaab Maxsur as well as Brothers Island and Daedalus Reef which are among the most iconic dive sites in the Egyptian Red Sea, famous for their dramatic walls, thriving coral reefs, and incredible pelagic marine life. These offshore sites attract oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, grey reef sharks, tuna, and huge schools of fish thanks to their strong currents and nutrient-rich waters.
(Exact sites depend on weather condition and change in routes).
Minimum dive requirements aren't there to exclude people - they're there to help make sure everyone is safe, confident, and able to fully enjoy the trip.
Some destinations have more challenging conditions like currents, deeper dives, or fast-paced schedules, so having the right level of experience means you'll get the most out of the adventure without feeling overwhelmed underwater.
We require the minimum number of dives to be met at least 6 months ahead of the trip start date.
If the requirement hasn't been met, the spot will be cancelled in line with our usual cancellation policy.
We'll be visiting Sataya Reef, also known as Dolphin Reef, one of the most famous places in the Red Sea to encounter wild spinner dolphins in their natural habitat.
Snorkelling at Sataya is a truly special experience because the encounters are completely wild and on the dolphins’ terms. Some days they may be playful and curious, swimming close to snorkellers, while other days they may prefer to keep their distance and rest quietly in the lagoon. We always prioritise the dolphins’ wellbeing over interactions.
To help protect the dolphins and their environment, there are strict rules in place for snorkelling at Sataya and diving down and disturbing them is not allowed. We pay a tax to visit here (included in your price) which pays for the management of the zoning system and supervision by a park ranger to enforce the regulations and fine those breaking the rules.
Claire and Christine (both from the USA) actually started out as Girls that Scuba trip guests themselves, and after seeing how much they embodied the community, energy, and supportive spirit of our trips, we loved them so much we recruited them as Girls that Scuba hosts!
Having shadowed all three of our main Girls that Scuba hosts, they bring the classic Girls that Scuba vibe while adding their own unique flair and personalities to every trip.
This is their 2nd trip hosting as a team after a 5* star review sell out NYE trip to Roatan!
With a group of 24 guests in Egypt, we’re sending them both along to make sure you feel supported, welcomed, and looked after every step of the way, both above and below the water.
