We hope you are never in the position you need to cancel your trip, but if something occurs, this is our cancellation policy for Girls that Scuba Trips. Please READ CAREFULLY.
By booking any Girls that Scuba Trip, you agree to this cancellation policy without exception. Cancellation for any reason on your side is subject to these terms, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations due to:
Illness or injury
Travel restrictions or border closures
War, conflict, political unrest, or security concerns
Government travel advisories, including where the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) or any equivalent government authority advises against travel
Pandemics, public health events, or similar circumstances
Or where a guest otherwise chooses not to travel
Upon cancellation here's what will happen to your deposit and/or full payment.
Please note: As a small team, we monitor our inbox during normal working hours, Monday to Friday. Cancellation requests are processed based on the time they are received, and requests submitted over the weekend will be reviewed on the next working day. If you need to cancel, please provide as much notice as possible to give us the best chance of reselling your space.
Deposits are non-refundable with no exceptions.
If you change your mind within 48 hours of making your booking, we can refund your deposit minus any applicable bank or payment processing fees.
If you cancel your trip after making a part or full payment, your deposit remains non-refundable. Depending on when you cancel, part of your remaining balance may be refundable.
We will notify the waitlist that a space has become available. If we are able to re-sell your spot, we can either:
Refund your balance minus the non-refundable deposit, or
Transfer your balance minus the deposit to Girls that Scuba trip credit, valid for 2 years, to use on another trip.
Resale of a cancelled space cannot be guaranteed, and is at the sole discretion of Girls that Scuba. If we cannot re-sell your spot, no refund or trip credit will be available.
If you cancel 61 days or more before the trip, but your space is not resold, the 60-day cancellation policy below will apply.
Reselling spaces within 60 days is extremely unlikely, as many of our travel partners require guest confirmation before this time. For this reason, no refunds or trip credit are available for cancellations made within 60 days of the trip start date.
If you book a trip that starts within 60 days, full payment is required at the time of booking. These bookings are non-refundable, as the trip is already within the final payment window.
Travel insurance is required on all of our trips – make sure to book insurance with cancellation coverage in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
Some of our trips incur fuel surcharges, marine park fees, or other mandatory local charges, which will be advised at the time of booking. These fees are set by suppliers, local operators, government authorities, or park authorities, and are beyond the control of Girls that Scuba.
Occasionally, these fees may change between the time of booking and the date of your trip. If this happens, we will aim to notify you as soon as reasonably possible. Any increases in these external costs will need to be paid by guests, and where possible will usually be added to the final payment for the trip.
As these charges are set externally and outside of our control, any increase in fuel surcharges, marine park fees, local taxes, park fees, or other externally imposed costs from suppliers or authorities is not considered a valid reason for cancellation under our cancellation policy.
If any part of your balance has been transferred to Girls that Scuba trip credit, it will be valid for 2 years from the date your credit is confirmed.
If the credit is not used within this 2 year period, it will expire and will no longer be available
If you use existing Girls that Scuba trip credit to pay a deposit for a new trip, that credit then becomes a non-refundable deposit.
Once credit has been applied as a deposit to secure a trip, it cannot be transferred back to trip credit or moved again.
To Note
Any refunds will be issued to the original payment method minus the card processing fee, in accordance with international payment processor policies. Refunds for local bank transfers remain free of charge, as no card processing fees apply to bank payments.
